Not every morning you get out of bed bleary eyed and head for the kitchen for a cuppa and see a bird feeding at bottom of garden....quick wipe of the eyes again and it's a sparrowhawk....race for telephoto and it's not attached to a body! a quick exchange, bump up the iso, set the compensation exposure and phew, READY! The excitement of not wanting the hawk to fly away. No worries. Pressing the tele 500 against the double glazing I got some respectable shots as it continued to pluck and tear it's breakfast. After some minutes it stopped feeding and flew off with the remainder of the spoils, possibly to a hungry chick. Somehow the remainder of the day seems to be bordering on the mundane................VIEW GALLERIES IN ORIGINAL FOR BEST QUALITY.
