Insitu at Parkanaur Forest at 12 noon...waiting...waiting at a favourite heavily shaded pool where I had inserted a new perch previously...a streak of blue around 3pm...nothing else for a while except tea and a sandwich...all quiet...bikers passed LOUDLY...then tranquility...around 4pm another streak of blue and a loud call...feeding young nearby?...4:36 'the eagle has landed'... on my perch ...majestic through the telephoto lens view...click...click...click and the wait was well worth it...lots more shots...time to bracket shutter speeds with the fill flash...background was awful with the sand and mud stirred up in the stream by the earlier downpour...however lightning will strike again and it will be worth the wait....
