Peabody Essex Museum

Thanks to a good tip from a great friend, we visited the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts while we were on our trip to New England in June and July, 2009. PEM is America's oldest continuously operating museum, and collects works of art and culture from around the world. Its collections include contemporary and historic American, Asian, Maritime, Oceanic, Native American, and African art and culture, as well as an archival library and historic American and Chinese houses.
