| BMW Motorcycles USA sponsored a ride to the new Guggenheim Las Vegas at the Venetian Hotel, September 28-30, 2001. They hosted a first-class event for up to 3000 riders, including free admission to the Art of the Motorcycle exhibit prior to its opening to the general public, a Friday night barbeque and a Saturday night banquet at the Venetian. It was an event to remember! Cameras aren't allowed inside the museum, but take my word for it, this was one fabulous exhibit!
On second thought, don't take my word for it! The exhibition at the Guggenheim Las Vegas is long over. But you can visit the Art of the Motorcycle web site at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York and see for yourself! This site gives an overview and highlights of the exhibit and an abridged history of the motorcycle |
