This was my first time to shoot the moon...no kidding! Actually I procastinated for quite some time already! One night in a parking lot in LA I saw the moon sandwiched between 2 tall buildings. One of the buildings was the one shown in the movie Independence Day. I didn't bring a camera that day so I said "D-OH!" to myself.
I used the 40D with the 400 F5.6 L and the 1.4x II TC...that's 560mm. Multiply that with the 1.6x crop factor of the 40D, that's 896mm.
