Miramar MCAS 2009

No usage authorized without prior written permission from Danny Tuason

On October 4, 2009 my brother Joe and I went to the Miramar MCAS in San Diego for their annual air show.

This was a practice air show shoot for me prior to the annual Edwards Air Force Base air show coming in a few days.

I brought the 1Ds3 and 2 lenses...the 135L and the 400 F5.6 L. Next time I will bring 3 lenses...the 24-70L, the 70-200 F4 IS L, and the 400 F5.6 L. Why bring the 24-70L? Well...it's so that I don't have to step far back to get a full body shot of the planes when they are on the tarmac.

More...you will notice the frozen propellers in some of my shots. The next time I do this I will try to shoot at a much lower shutter speed to show some motion in those propellers.
