50D: RAW vs sRAW1 vs SRAW2

Welcome to the 50D: RAW vs sRAW1 vs sRAW2 gallery.

I shot 2 scenes (one light, one dark) using 3 different RAW sizes...RAW, sRAW1, and sRAW2. For each RAW size I shot at ISO 1600, ISO 3200, ISO 6400 (H1), and ISO 12800 (H2).

All shots were done in NEUTRAL...with no sharpening whatsoever. Saturation levels are +0. All in camera noise reduction were disabled. ALO was disabled. All shots were processed in DPP individually. I turned off the default NR for all shots and I pressed APPLY before I did a convert and save.

No noise reduction software (i.e. Noise Ninja, Lightroom 2) was used on these shots.

No resizing was done. All pictures are shown in full resolution. I give you permission to download the shots in this gallery and do your own PP.
