The mount

The Orion Atlas mount costs several times as much as the telescope in my case. My Atlas is the "Go-To" version, a handy feature but certainly not required for astrophotography. The qualities that define a good mount for astrophotography are tracking accuracy and smoothness, sturdiness and stability. The Atlas is more than adequate for my needs.
