The final day dawned and the Sun chased all of the clouds away. We strolled about the lodge and encountered a fleet of Red Jammers in the parking lot. These vintage vehicles are Glacier's answer to mass transit and are named from the old days when drivers had to "jam" the gears to get up the mountain. They actually give tourism an aristocratic flair; no room for stinky diesel-belching buses on these roads. We managed to sneak in a quick day hike to Red Rock Falls before driving back to Calgary. It came time to say "Goodbye" to an old friend; one that I don't get to see too often. One final fond glance over the shoulder and its fare thee well.
