We were going to take a world wide safari but this was cheaper, more temperate, less tiring and had no bugs! Also we got the whole thing over with in a day! The animals were very friendly.
I was quite surprised at how well they turned out. There are only a few where the reflection on the glass cases shows. The Museum had no objection to photography but of course didn't allow flash or tripods. I suspect a small pocket model would be ok. The elephant room was almost pitch dark. I braced the camera on the floor, opened it up wide and shot at I think two seconds.
