NGC 4449

NGC 4449 is a Dwarf Galaxy in the constellation Canes Venatici. It is an active star forming galaxy with numerous H2 regions.

Imaging Scope: 9.25" Celestron edge at F/10
Guide Camera: SX Lodestar x 2, PHD2
Mount:Avalon M Uno
Filters: Astrodon E series LRGB
Exposure: 5 minute subs. 1.25 hours each RGB and 3 hours Luminance
Processing: CCD Stack and PS CS2.

This is a really nice image of a fairly neglected galaxy! You should try taking some Ha to reveal even more HII regions. Another nice galaxy in Canes Venatici you could try is NGC 4490.
