Peul girls, northern Senegal

Senegal

We stopped in a village between Saint-Louis and Parc National des Oiseaux de Djoudj, near the Mauritanian border. These girls glowed in the early sunlight as they walked down the road.

Those girls can be "peul girls"It doesn't matter if they dress like moors, they can truly be peuls.

These girls are not Peulh (Fulani or Fulbe). Instead they are Hartani (Black hassanya from Mauritania. This is a very popular dress from the hassanya (exclusively from Mauritania) and has no connection with Peulh.
