I counted a total of 10 nests the day this photograph was taken. The nest on the left contains the chick mentioned in the previous photograph.
This image shows that the nests are not all on the same level. In addition, I witnessed no territorial fights during the 45 minutes or
so that I was photographing the rookery. As far as I can tell, the clacking noise one hears in the rookery is the chicks
requesting food.
