Kilauea Caldera

Kilauea Volcano covers more than 600 square miles. It has a large depression with a diameter of two to three miles known as a caldera seen in the photograph.
The caldera is found on the southwest flank of Kilauea near the volcano's summit. Halema‘uma‘u Crater seen on the far right is actually an inner
crater within Kilauea Caldera.
