Ken, I've just had a look at some Edward Hopper paintings and It's actually quite eerie how close the parallels are; urban, edgy, theatrically lit, brooding depictions of soliutude. Christ I love it! Also possibly even more eerie that you posted a work today inspired by the same painter !

I was actually going for the fifth picture and it took two hours to get it right but I'm glad I brought the blood; the bloody ones I did in the last five minutes. I'm still stained with red food colouring after three showers.

I really like where you are going here David. I was actually just looking at work by American painter Edward Hopper and there are elements of similarity..in the sense of aloneness..emptiness of space, but also in the control of your colour palette and tones. Congrats...V
