Are you using Photomatrix Pro? I use 1,5 stops difference between pictures. Then completely oversaturate. 90% or so.

Hello,

Thanks for your gallery, I loved the yellow Defender (I'm Portuguese!).

Anyway, I have a suggestion... Could you please be kind enough to show us your tone mapping settings? I mean, if we would like to adjust the tone mapping in order to achieve this kind of results, what settings should we use?
(if you can, please use the yellow defender as reference, ie, what settings did you used on this photo?)

although its not to everyones taste I love this technique - especially your heavy emphasis on saturation, makes them look almost cartoon like! - I have used Photoshops merge to HDR but having seen your results in Photomatix I am more than tempted to use the programme.
