I just got home from a road trip to visit family in
Northeast Texas. My sidekick on the trip -
My five year old son Drake.
From Co. Springs, down to Raton, New Mexico, to Dalhart, TX down to Vega, Texas
onto highway 40 east across Oklahoma and then south on the Indian Nation Turnpike
to Hugo across to Paris TX and then 271 south to Mt. Pleasant TX. 16 hours. No stops to sleep.
Two racoons and one possum lost their lives on my quest and one close call with a turtle.
near Vega, TX
Near Amarillo, TX

These are wonderful pictures. I was sad to see the one of the grave. Thanks for sharing this with me. You have some very beautiful children :)

Tammy, You always take great pics! The One of the BIG Spider, is the type of spider I had in my yard. The one I almost grabbed, thinking it was a bumblebee, stuck. I was going to rescue it LOL I ended up 20 feet away. I asked Gorps to help and ID it. I didn't even KNOW we had spiders that big UpNorth. The biggest I ever encountered were wolf spiders. Two days later our BigYellowGardenSpider disappeared and I haven't found another Whew~
