Ahhh...it's that time of year where science experiments are due. So today Marah and I prepared for Jared's project: whether the length of the tail affects the flying of a kite.
As an elementary classroom teacher for 34 years, I realize that the only thing missing from this image is the exhausted parent sprawled out on the grass. That aside, I think this is a wonderful image for its balance and elements that keep the eye looking - I love that it is a homemade kite, and that the dead leaf is next to it. Since it is April - there must have been a real wind to make that leaf finally fall off the tree.
