Wildflowers of New York State

I'm a self-taught amateur both as a photographer and as a botanist. I started this gallery just to display the beauty of the flowers, not as a field guide. That's why most of the photos do not inlcude leaves. That said, many viewers are using these photos for flower identification, which is fine. I've been reading field guides and id'ing wildflowers for decades, so I'm reasonably confident about the id's but there are no guarantees. Most of these photos were taken in the wild but some are from gardens. All were taken in the Finger Lakes region of central New York.
