There were still a few wildflowers left on our now very dry hillsides.
This lovely flower actually appears quite pink in person, though looks slightly more purple here.
In any case, it has enough "pink" in it to where I think it qualifies for the gallery.
Farewell To Spring wildflower - Clarkia amoena
Its description names it as a "pink" flower:
"This very showy annual blooms in late-summer and persists on restoration sites along side perennials.
It has relatively large pink or magenta flowers with dark pink patterning, 3-4 ft tall."
