Meandering Creek
by Laura Milholland

Las Gallinas Wildlife Ponds, San Rafael, CA

Las Gallinas Creek, here at low tide, runs next to the wildlife ponds that I so often visit.
I like the way the creek draws my view along the pretty grasses towards the hills in the background.

I like the intent in this image. However, I wish the stream had started closer to the foreground and not been broken off by the land spit in the top third of the image. Lovely lighting. Scenes like this can be difficult to shoot. Rather than seeing the stream as a leading line, my eye fixates on it as the main subject.

I like that the creek leads you onward to find out what is lurking farther down. Makes me want to find out just how far the creek goes. Good job!

This looks like a great place to get some wildlife photos. It is almost an exact "S" shaped curve but backwards. Very nice!

Beautiful creek and I like how the leading lines inside and surrounding the river take you to who knows where.
