Mike, Very much enjoyed your galleries. I will be back. You have done an outstanding job of showing how interesting everyday people and sights can be. You have inspired me to look around me with new eyes. Thanks also for the encouraging words you left at my sight. Regards, John

Thank you for sharing such a personal and touching gallery. As "Amoxtli" said on 14-Jan
"Only the scenery might be different." We are all connected.

Dear Mike,

We spent quite a while looking at your beautiful images and were very moved by them. Our lives are different, but yet similar to yours. We have experienced despair, sadness and loss, but also love, contentment, and joy. We believe that people are the same everywhere. Only the scenery might be different. Your images made us think about the past, about what we have to be thankful for and about our friends and families. We thank you for that.

Best Wishes,

Adelaida and Walter

we are all connected
I was passing by a small town her in Colorado (Silverton) around 6 am looking for a cup of coffee, pulled up to a little place with smoke comming our of the chimney.
parked my car opened the door and all at once I could smell coal smoke, what a supprise
Opened the door walked in and it hit me like a hammer there well old boys sitt'n around the stove and ,famely members cooking up a storm in the back of the tiny place.
A big black pan cook'n county ham and eggs . Well now I sat down and had a breafest from day gone by. Before leaving I chated the the lady cook'n and she said the familey move there from VA 70 years ago. sure brought back memories.

Don't know if you are a photographer or an illustrator as you say in your profile page.
But you are a real man, for sure, and that's what counts.

Hi mike
I spent some time in W.V.many years ago and still have a relative or 2 there
I think that your words go on deaf ears and it breaks my heart
few want to admit that we the people ++ with all are back
slapping hand shading politicians and Bible thumping good doers, Did nothing to stop
the death the suffering and the poverty driven by money hungery big business.

I want to thank you for you photos and words please Keep sending them in
sorry for the of rage .
I have seen them with black lung and seen the hopeless ness and poverty I am sure you have to. Keep up the great work may be more will listen

Thanks for the compliments Mike! I really enjoyed looking through your galleries and found the 'Days Gone By' series facinating as each picture tells it's own story.

Thanks for your comment, you're a real gentlemaan Mike!! I love the treatment you do to your photos, very unusual. I really like the comic book sense that comes out of them! Great stuff, keep it up!
