Following the last shot... and it's a few seconds later, and I still want the light, the figure ....and now: that tree on the left suggests a BARRIER juxtaposed with the man on the beach.
I'm thus introducing the themes of freedom and bondage/captivity by contrasting the RIGHT hand of the shot with the left: on e = wall; on e = freedom/sea....
The suggestion of weeds, brambles in the foreground thus becomes significant in this context: tress growing...but always weeds: freedom, captivity and the thorns of working out a life and/or salvation in a universe that is in devolutional freefall by dint of its inherited fallenness.
Of course, it's simply also a pretty graphic representation of loneliness: the solo figure, all the myriad tracks of the day ..and just the one person in all that expanse of sea.
(Had I a family I'd ditch all this for buckets + spades and an adventure: it's cos I don't that I do this stuff.)
