This place's neo-paganism and "rethinking" gets worse. We've had the "transition" stuff, the images of pigs: this silly season is "Minerva owls", no less.
Sula was the resident female "deity" onto which the Romans rethinked Minerva. Owls were considered memes of arcane wisdom, the dead and prescience, and much else. In the Old Testament they convey demonic activity, desolation and are the harbinger of doom for ungodly sytems.
Anyway.
I've shot several of these views before with the 14mm f2.8. The 16mm is just different: razor-sharp, greater low-contrast resolution, not as wide, and with the large aperture lending itself to different types of shot than the 14mm. the 14mm is also superb ...and I miss it tbh!
