This jury rigged device allows rotating the camera on the axis of the lens without changing the position of the flash. It also allows the flash to be positioned closer to the axis of the lens than when mounted directly on the hot shoe. Components are the Canon tripod ring (black version), an old Leitz ball head and scrap oak flooring. A tripod quick release plate is attached to the base of the wood piece.
