I've shot this same bug on my back deck, although not as nicely as you have done here. They are very timid about getting their photo made as you stated, but I repeatedly see the little guy looking for ants so hopefully I can get a decent shot of him. Never knew he was an Assassin bug though. Beautiful shot here with the 50 f/1.8 and the tubes.
