This Prairie is one of the rare places where the ground has never been plowed. My Daughter and her husband bought a small farm near McLouth, in Jefferson County,KS and had no idea what it contained. All they knew was that they had eleven acres of hay field. Since then they discovered that it is a veritable treasure trove of Prairie plants including the rarest of rare Mead's Milkweed.
