Canyon De Chelly National Monument

This is a beautiful canyon in northeast Arizona which has been occupied by the Navajo and their ancestors for more than 4,000 years. It was established as a National Monument in 1931 to protect and preserve the archeological and cultural heritage of the area. Forty Navajo families still live within the canyon today. This gallery will be under construction for several days. Please check back often for new updates.
