This is a famous spot for birds as there is a rookery in the alligator swamp. Believe it or not there were about 50 crazy bird photographers there this morning having a blast. You can actually reach out and touch some of the birds if you wanted to. The lighting is very tricky in the morning and I will most likely return many times this season. Oh, yes there are alligators here too!

I started my day with a sunrise at the nearby Wahington Oaks State Park. The park was closed when I arrived so I literally ran about 1/2 mile to the shore where I was about 5 minutes late for the sunrise. Next time...
