Also known as al-Mahandar, after the founder in the 14th century, Hassan Ibn Balahan, who was mahandar or chief cook to the sultan. The minaret is of wave-patterned ribbing, that seems to be Mongolian.

It is close to (a little to the southwest) the Madrasa Othmaniye.
