This is the main courtyard. The first big building to the right is the reception hall (qa'a), which unfortunately was closed. Further to the right is an iwan (or liwan: a reception area off a courtyard with a high arch opening). We will get there shortly. Straight on and to the left there are several other buildings containing objects and sometimes mannequins dressed as a group, representing some social occasion.
