In general I abstain from climbing onto monuments, but the Roman ones are so solid, and the view from them so different from the pedestrian, that I could not resist climbing onto the Antioch Gate (North Gate). Antioch would be the present Antakya in Turkey.

I took several shots from here, some wide angle, some with telephoto lenses. The day was still brightening, I increased contrast in some shots.
