A fine mosque at the end of a short road from the norias is the An-Nuri mosque, built by the Muslim commander Nureddin, uncle of Saladin, in the 12th century.

At the mosque I was passed by this family on a motorbike. It stopped and the woman, jokingly, tried to get out of the picture. She did not reckon with modern wide angles. I don't think she really minded.
