A fine mosque at the end of a short road from the norias is the An-Nuri mosque, built by the Muslim commander Nureddin, uncle of Saladin, in the 12th century.

Thank you Sir for the wonderful photos of my town. Just a correction: Nureddin was the ruler of Syria under whom Saladin served as a general. Nureddin was not the uncle. More photos please of my childhood town that I cannot visit!
