This is one of two madrasas (Qoran schools) facing each other, the Adaliye and Zahiriye Madrasas. They are both from the 13th century (but modern repairs were going on in the Zahiriye when I visited in April 2009). At the Adaliye Ad-'Adil, a brother of Saladin, was buried. Due to the restoration at the Zahiriye I did not see the tombs of the Mameluke Sultan Baibars there.
