Piazza Armerina - Casale Villa Mosaics

These pictures are from the late 1980's or early 1990's. Most were taken at the nearby Villa of Casale. The Wikipedia says: "Villa Romana del Casale (Sicilian: Villa Rumana dû Casali) is a Roman villa built in the first quarter of the 4th century and located about 5 km outside the town of Piazza Armerina, Sicily, southern Italy. Containing the richest, largest and most complex collection of Roman mosaics in the world, it is one of 44 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Italy.

I used Kodachrome, so the colours have not faded as with most slide films, but the colour gradients are steep. I scanned the slides, then used Photoshop to salvage what I could. Conditions were dismal though, with harsh light reflecting from the mosaics. Some pictures are al-right, others are very, very poor. I may add some captions, but if people help me with this, they are welcome: write a comment.
