The Urfa Kapısı, in the middle ages named Bab er-Rum (Romans’ Gate) has an eagle spreading its wings above the skull of a bull on a fine gate. Two of the originally three entrances were closed by the Ortokid Mohammed, from that age date the iron studded doors.
