It was built in the 16th century by Handanbey between 1575 and 1596. It went through several repairs, during the French occupation a gun shot damaged part of the south wall, which was repaired. Woodwork of the minber is special. The minaret is decorated with palmettes, badges and tile plates. In 2016 a restoration was executed.
