The Sifahidiye Medrese dates from 1217, and was built for sultan Izzettin Keykavbus I, it is one of the oldest buildings in the city. When he died in 1220 an Azeri architect designed the porch where Izzettin is buried. The whole complex was being restored on a grand scale in June 2011. I decided to keep the pictures I took earlier in the main gallery, and just show the results of the restoration in this one. In due course the lifelines that I remember from earlier visits will return.
