Seyyid Burhaneddin grave

This is a place where many people visit the graves of several important people, with one as its centre.

About that particular one: A notice tells us: “Seyyid Burhaneddin came from Hazreti Huseyin’s generation. He was called “Muhakkik” and Seyyid’i Sirdan” because he used to probe and comprehend facts and used to be able to reveal the secrets, respectively.
He was born in 1165 (Gregorian Calendar) in Tirmiz. After taking some of his religious education from his father he moved to Belh to take lessons from Sultanu’l-Ulema Bahaeddin Veled Hazretleri for 12 years. During this period of time he also trained and educated Mevlana Celaleddin’I Rumi. After he had taken the necessary qualification and authority from Sultanu’l-Ulema he settled down [in] Tirmiz to show people the right way and enlight[en] them.
In 1220 Sultanu’l-Ulema visited Baghdad and Arabia, he came to Konya and deceased in here in 1230. Seyyid Burhaneddin was informed about his masters death by miracle and settled himself in Konya in order to train Mevlana upon a religious dream. One year later Hz. Mevlana set out to visit Halep and Sam [Aleppo and Damascus] so as to improve his knowledge on religious sciences and Seyyid Burhaneddin went to Kayseri which was very precious to him.
Returning from Halep and Sam, Mevlana started to stay in Kayseri. After a while together with Mevlana, Seyyid Burhaneddin went back to Konya. For nine years without any interval, he trained and educated Mevlana and again in 1240, he came back to Kayseri, the city he used to like very much. In the fall of 1244 he deceased, making very sad the people who followed his way.”
