Research regarding Kiliç Arslan is going on at this spot, or rather, a restoration of his palace is under way. I am not very impressed with Turkish restorations in general, they leave the “restored”spots looking brand new for ages. Suggestive pictures of the result one could see confirmed my suspicion.
On the other hand, the few remains under a concrete dome are pretty ugly.
