When in Tunceli in September 2007 I found travel in that mountainous region was not very easy if you do not drive a car. There were not many regular minibus connections to nearby towns, and it also became clear that a town might be a very small affair. There were good minibus services to Ovacık and to Nazimiye. From the last town I made a hike into the mountains, and took pictures to give an impression of what it is like there.

In this series I also show pictures of the country one sees on the way back to Tunceli.
