I was walking from Demre to Myra, when Salih Topuz gave me a ride in his car. He told me he earned money from tourists, so he helped them in return whenever he could. Part of his help was to tell me there was a rather less known group of graves on the east side (rather than the well known west side) of the hill behind the Myra theatre. He explained how to get there, and these pictures are the result. In addition when arriving in a meadow with flowers and trees in its front I met H. Onur Tibikoğlu, an archeologist who was preparing his doctoral thesis on these graves. He told me how to get to a particular one, the Arslan Mezar or Lions Tomb. After a climb I reached that grave and took many pictures, some of the lion that gave it its name. When walking back I took some pictures from a distance of the west side graves, which I add to the general Myra gallery.
