It is a bit complicated: not far from Düzce, west of Bolu, is Üskübü which is also called Konuralp. That place is situated on part of the spot where the ancient Prusias ad Hypium stood, though that city was much larger than present day Konuralp. Prusias was founded by King Prusias, who founded Bolu too.
The town contains a theatre, and up the hill in its back there are some remains of an aqueduct. I spent a lot of time and sweat in order to reach the Antik Kent Sitesi, which might translate as “site of the ancient city” but instead turned out to be a new development of that name on a very steep hill (site seems to me to be related to the French cité). Luckily the museum was downhill. Inside are some minor finds, outside is, amongst other things, a spectacular sarcophagus.
