There is a coastal road that starts somewhere outside Antalya and goes on and on and on until, roughly, Mersin. If you cross the road after having visited Korykos castle, you can enter a much more quiet world, where a farmers’ road leads you to, almost, Ayas, to the east. In the area that you cruise through, sometimes getting off the road anyhow, you can come across many sarcophagi, some rock graves and, a mile or so before Ayas, a couple of churches. Going can be tough, but I find it great fun. I here group the pictures I took during a number of visits to this area. I put the sub-gallery into the Kızkalesi gallery, with a link from the Ayas one.
