I ran into a flock of photographers (or would it be a bevy? See http://www.rinkworks.com/words/collective.shtml for what I refer to). I was urgently wanting to go to Alahan, where I knew an early Christian monastery was waiting, and couldn’t for lack of minibuses. I boldly asked if, in the case they went to Alahan themselves, I might join them. I could, and travelled in great comfort to Alahan and back, stopping for tea and food on the way up. I thank them for their kindness. It was slightly bewildering to see so many people doing collectively what I generally do as a strict loner.
