Across the street from the Yıldırım Beyazit Camii there is a fine han, where I also took some night shots. I was informed its name is Taş Han, or Stone Inn.

In fact there are two ‘Han’ next to each other. This one is the ‘Yukarı Taş Han’ (= Upper Stone Inn), built in 1750.
The other one, smaller and with its entrance some 30 or 40 m downhill behind the street corner, is called ‘Aşağı Taş Han’ (= Lower Stone Han). It is from 1804.
