The town lies along a railroad track, and to my delight the trains pass through part of the town, causing a main road to be regularly closed at a crossing. It is amazing how quickly you get used to the sound of a train passing at less than 100 metres from your hotel room.
This is looking towards the station. I was told that the train to Zonguldak at the Black Sea coast passes through some impressive country and is to be preferred over the minibus I took.
