This mosque has been restored from near ruin in 1952. It dates from 1724, built in a transitional style between classical and baroque. It lies in the centre of a, may I say fundamentalist neighbourhood? I think I may: nowhere else in the city does one see so many heavily covered (veiled is not the word) women and turbaned and bearded men. I always go there to buy some perfume (the "ut" one) at a kökçü (seller of smells) , which is very good.

This is the entrance to the graveyard, along the courtyard.
