This is a view downhill towards one of the area\s where they are thoroughly restyling the country. The river çoruh is down there somewhere, and is being prepared for feeding an artificial lake (some twenty miles downstream I saw the dam in preparation, I don’t know if there will be another dam closer to the city, or maybe at the other side, higher upriver. It looks like a lot of devastation right now, but in due course nature will cover the hills somewhat, though I doubt if it will ever regain its former glory.
